Forces Reunion Lunch

Thank you to everyone for your patience and as promised my ‘round robin’ email covering our event in August. I am aware that some OH’s are still currently serving and perhaps due to operational/exercise/or family commitments cannot make this gathering. Such is the nature of the beast as they say. I hope that the details below are comprehensive enough and self explanatory, should anyone require further details then please do email me with your queries. Venue : The Anchor Inn, Tintern. NP16 6TE (///W3W blacken.wardrobe.streaking). Please aim to arrive on the day between 1100hrs -1155hrs. At approximately 1200hrs I will provide a short introductory speech to everyone. Depending on the weather this will either take place inside or outside. After this the carvery lunch will start with both vegan and vegetarian options available (nut roast). Your meal and dessert are catered for within the £17.50p per head. However, all drinks will have to be paid for when ordered. There will be no seating plan therefore please sit where and with whom you wish to during the lunch. However, I am pretty confident that we will all be moving about at times catching up with one another. If the weather is good the manager will open up the patio doors allowing us to spill out on to the outside area. Please note also that this gathering is also open to wives/partners. Dress: Come as you feel and wearing what you feel comfortable in. Parking: There are two large car parks outside The Anchor Inn, including the Abbey Museum car park area. I will arrange with the Manager for car parking to be free on the day for OH’s. The Anchor Staff will be given a list of those attending and their vehicle details. It would be very useful if OH’s could wear a name badge with their dates at HCS displayed on it. This will save everyone having to repeat themselves during the afternoon. There is no need to include your past or current appointment/rank. However, perhaps displaying RN/Army/RAF/Reservist on it might be helpful. Please in the meantime continue to chase your contemporaries via your various networks informing them to contact me via email if they are keen to join us on the 16th August. Provisionally we are booked in from 1100hrs - 1530hrs ish as a group. However, I am sure that many of you will wish to stay on beyond this and perhaps chat until the early evening. This is not a problem and I will endeavour myself to last the course. Payments: Please pay the necessary amount in to the account listed below which has been set up specifically for the OH Gathering.
